Sushi Samba
Take a dash of Japan and sprinkle Latin America all over it, Dominican Republic to be exact; and you get Mama Sushi. This is the location of our beautiful client's birthday celebration. Her favorite restaurant located in the trendy neighborhood of Harlem, on Broadway and 142 street. MamaSushi, is fusionend Asian Cuisine, especially the Japanese, along with the exciting and tasty flavors of Latin America.
The result: a marvelous, tasteful experience that takes your palate for a ride through many cultures. The fusion comes to life with one of their many “Latin Sushi” dishes.
“More than Sushi” is a concept begins in the kitchen through the influences of the Executive Chef, David Nuñez, who consciously applies his vast experience in the Asian-Latino fusion. In addition to their extensive selection of traditional and house made to order sushi, there is a remarkable selection of traditional and craft cocktails, specialty beer and Sake as well.
Our client (Maoly) chose this venue for its enjoyable atmosphere, great food and guest space. She was celebrating another year of life and wanted a vibrant venue to reflect her joy. We didn't want to overpower the venue especially since the guests were sitting near a hand painted mural; which reflects Japanese and Latin American culture personas over time. Each attendee received a custom menu titled "Maoly's Birthday" exclusively personalized for our birthday client.
Our custom print is tailored to each individual event to bring a more personalized touch. Huge shout out to Igor for the graphics and choice of print paper - you can find more of his work here. The table was sparkling in a black sequins table cloth adorned by gold charger plates and red cloth napkins.
A candle lit ambience surrounded the cylinder vases with red and white roses which graced the table. The 2 tier cake was deliciously crafter by Sweet Occasions Bakery filled with delicious dulce de leche filling. YUM! I can still take it, the flowers are edible made out of sugar.
